Ability of monks to hear confessions

The Holy Synod decided that it is forbidden for monks to take the confessions of girls and women or to interfere in their guidance or solve their problems in any city or village where there are married priests. Also, it is forbidden for monks to take confessions of girls and women in (monks’) monasteries. They should not interfere in their counseling or try solving their own problems.
