Amendments to text of Synaxarium and Antiphonary regarding St. Joseph

The Synod accepted the recommendation of the Faith, Education and Legislative Committee regarding what was mentioned in the Synaxarium and the Antiphonary on 26 Abib regarding the saintliness of St. Joseph, who was betrothed to Virgin Mary, as follows:

a.     The Synaxarium: He deserved to be called a father to Christ in the flesh.

b.     The Antiphonary Because you deserved to be called the Father of Christ in the flesh.

c.     The Committee recommended that the text be amended, in both the Synaxarium and the Antiphonary, to become "by adoption" instead of "in the flesh" to avoid confusion."
