Agreement of Protocol with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church

After the proposed Protocol with the Ethiopian Church attached in Appendix No. 6-Awas approved by the Ethiopian Holy Synod in March 1994, and unanimously approved (after discussion) by the Holy Synod of the Coptic Church, the Secretariat of the Holy Synod, under the supervision of His Holiness the Pope, had prepared a report on the history of the relationship with the Ethiopian Church. The Joint Dialogue Committee has drawn up a draft Protocol that is considered an informal document until the two Holy Synods of the two churches are accredited.
