Requirment of monks ordained in the diaspora to visit monasteries in Egypt

Given that monastic life has originated in the wilderness of Egypt, the Committee has therefore seen the importance of monks who became monks in the monasteries of the diaspora to come to the Egyptian monasteries to spend approximately a year to be filled with their spirit, and receive its traditions, in order to maintain spiritual ties with the Mother Church and its original monastic order.
