Amendments and approval of rituals regarding the consecration of women
The Holy Synod, headed by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, approved the ritual of consecrating a full Deaconess presented by the Ritual Committee after making some amendments to it. Provided that the preamble is attached to the phrase "that the complete deaconess has absolutely nothing to do with the service of the Altar" and that the ritual be accompanied by a determination of the aspects of her service as a full Deaconess associated with the ritual text of the consecration of a full Deaconess attached to Appendix No. 17-D"
