Authority to administer ecclesiastic sanctions
Regarding ecclesiastic sanctions, the Holy Synod agreed that the Father of Confession, the Bishop, the Clerical Council, His Holiness the Pope, or the Holy Synod, determine the Church punishment according to the case. This is within the framework of the directives issued by the Holy Synod.
